Cadbury’s Dairy Milk DanceOff app for iPhone
Most people consider getting Cadbury’s on their fingertips a sad side-affect of delicious chocolate consumption. With the launch of the new Dairy Milk DanceOff app for iPhone, however, you might actually prefer to play with your food.
Created to tie-in with Cadbury’s on-going TV campaign, the app is basically a dance simulator – all you really do is select a top and watch it bop. You get to choose to watch either a vintage suit or old-school football jersey – the flappy arms are key to the dancing garment’s style.
After choosing a costume you must pick a song – either one stored on your iPhone, or let the device’s mic pick up nearby sounds.
After making the impossible decision of “what song should I make this suit dance to?”, the app automatically analyse your choice and busts out the best moves for your music.
You can go manual, though, and choose your own dance style for the clothing: hip hop, swing, jazz, salsa and samba. The app will still analyse the tune it’s listening to and plans dance moves in time with the beat. Most of the time, it works.
There’s also a pace slider, so if you get your kicks from watching a suit shimmy away, pump that up to max.
Aside from this, there’s nothing else here. It sure is cute, though. And if you watch long enough, you’ll be sure to pick up some new moves for the dance-floor.
It’ll be great to entertain friends, or if you need some visual relief to your top tracks. It’s also funny to see the clothing bust out completely inappropriate moves to sombre songs. And it’s free.
Oh, and if you’re curious – we’re Team Suit.
