Music made “Sweeter” with Orbitsound’s new range of audio products

Furthering its innovative range of gadgets utilizing spatial stereo technology, the British audio company Orbitsound has unveiled a new range of products for 2010, which produce premium sound that rivals the quality of much more expensive stereo systems.

It is logical that it would take a real ‘muzo’ to fully understand and appreciate the engineering and production of music at its highest quality and this is the crux of what has engineered Orbitsound’s success. The company was founded by Ted Fletcher, a sound engineer and one-time session musician and intent on producing “spatial” stereo sound, Fletcher developed spatial stereo technology.

Less ‘proficient’ listeners of music are likely to place stereo systems in the most ‘convenient’ or aesthetically pleasing of locations, as they are likely to be unaware that with traditional audio systems, there is a “sweet spot” at a certain distance from the speakers where the sound will be most clear and perfect. Following on from the success of last year’s T12 speaker system, which sold out within a few months after it was made available in John Lewis stores for its capabilities of reaching an “infinite sweet spot”, Orbitsound have unveiled three new products.

The T12 soundbar, which incorporates an iPod / iPhone dock, is designed to be mounted above or beneath a television. The soundbar’s spatial stereo technology brings astonishing clarity and depth to both music and home cinema wherever the system is positioned. Although its proficiency in producing first-rate stereo sound is not the T12 soundbar’s only innovatively inspiring asset, as compared with other more ‘conventional’ home cinema systems, the new soundbar uses 40 percent less in energy consumption.

Perhaps the most exciting of Orbitsound’s new range, is the T4 Radiopod, a Wi-Fi enabled digital radio and iPod dock, which by incorporating spatial stereo technology allows users to listen to crystal-clear sound with precision and profundity on the radio, the internet, or their own musical collections.

Concluding the line-up of Orbitsound’s pitch-perfect new gadgets is the T3 portable speaker. Being small enough to fit into your palm the T3 speaker can belt out quality stereo sound from iPods, iPhones, laptops, Nintendo DS games and practically any audio device requiring sound quality makeover – the perfect companion for holidays, business trips and even barbeques.
