Smartphones seem to be able to do pretty much everything these days, and one company has stretched the bounds of possibility still further with the launch of a helicopter that can be controlled by your iPhone or Android handset.
The iHelicopter is set to take to the skies this month, just in time for it to land on many a Christmas wishlist. Gadget fiends can now take control of their very own helicopter by downloading a free app entitled Copter Controller.
The iHelicopter is available from online retailer www.ParamountZone.com. MD James Morris said:
We’re constantly testing hundreds of cutting-edge gadgets and toys but the iHelicopter really impressed us – great packaging, a high-quality concept and the innovative way it can be controlled from a smartphone. And for once, unlike other similar products on the market, this isn’t just about iPhones: this model is compatible with several Android handsets, making it a truly accessible Christmas gift. Having spent more than a decade playing with and selling helicopters of all shapes and sizes, we know our choppers and can honestly say this is also the most durable of ‘copters we’ve ever had the pleasure of crashing.”
The iHelicopter has in inbuilt Gyro and can be controlled up and down, left and right, forward and back. The makers promise that the app will be regularly updated with new features – one to land soon will be the Flight Recording mode, which lets you record a flight so the helicopter can perform the same moves over and over again just by pressing a button.
The iHelicopter is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and supported Android phones including: HTC – Desire S/Desire HD/Incredible S/Wild Fire/Wild Fire S/Hero/Sensation; Samsung 9100/i9000; Moto MB525, and LG P350.
The iHelicopter costs £29.99.
