TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch

Been busy dominating beatbox tournaments since we looked at VoiceJam, the vocal looping app from vocal FX pros TC Helicon? Of course you have. Looking to take your skills to the next level? What a question. Of course you are. TC Helicon have released the VoiceLive Touch, a go anywhere vocal processor that lets all you budding Reggie Watts, Beardymen or Schlomos loop to your hearts content.

The design of the VoiceLive Touch is pretty unique and thanks to the ingenuously integrated mic stand mount, VoiceLive Touch sits on the mic stand precisely – where it is needed for total hands-on control. Kevin Alexander, TC-Helicon’s CEO comments “VoiceLive Touch really is the first vocal effects unit designed for every singer. The unit can be easily mounted onto mic stands, while keyboard vocalists can mount it next to their keyboards. Guitarists can add the optional Switch-3 for combined foot pedal and touch control, and computer musicians can place it on their desktops.  The VoiceLive Touch is set let any singer be in control of their vocal sound at the touch of the fingertips”

VLOOP also features easy looping functionality for both singers and guitarists, putting the controls at their fingertips or on the floor with the optional Switch-3 footswitch. Get rapid access to common loop features, such as overdub, undo and multiply. Tap into the performance looping modes and you can create up to 25 separate loops with instant undo/redo, single shot mode and more.

VoiceLive Touch has a touch interface, whereby sounds can be changed in an instant with a tap or swipe of the smooth surface preset slider. Search by genre through hundreds of sounds or assemble a whole song with your voice by creating loops. VoiceLive Touch uses the same effects engine as the bestselling VoiceLive 2, so it contains a range of fun (and one or two annoying) effects. Users can quickly store their custom sounds in one of the 25 easily accessible ‘favourite’ slots for easy recall. VoiceLive Touch also has the same ‘intelligent’ features found on VoiceLive 2, like Adaptive Tone and NaturalPlay Harmony.

Sadly all this looping wonder does not come cheap and the VoiceLive Touch will set you back around £415 (excluding VAT).
