Zara Rabinowicz is a London based freelance writer with a passion for the technology sector. She has previously written for Stuff Magazine, BBC Technology and edited ShinyShiny.tv, as well as contributed to many other publications. Formerly an Apple addict she’s been lured over to Android with the likes of HTC handsets such as the Magic and the Hero, and the entertaining way they name their software updates after confectionery items (Donut and Cookie are two prime examples). She stays on top of developments in the tech world by frenetically monitoring her various RSS feeds in her Bloglines account, and has serious guilt trips about pressing ‘Mark as Read’. She loves gaming, and specializes at learning all the sneaky moves in Tekken, but is a gracious winner. Her current console of choice is the XBOX 360, though the Playstation has a special place in her heart, and she’s been known to Wii on occasion. Her gadgets of choice would be her eBook, her Canon camera and her hardworking computer, without which she loses the ability to function as a normal human being. She’s excited about what’s to come in 2010, and views the future of tech as primarily being software based, with new OS’s and interfaces changing the way technology is viewed today. She’s particularly intrigued with what new services will be on offer, and sees the eBook platform as grounds for major development, hopefully with a national eBook library coming soon. You can read her random musings on her blog www.AlmostZara.com and follow her on twitter.

Tunebug Shake: Surround sound in your bike helmet
There’s nothing nicer than the open road and some seriously corny tunes to free the mind and relax the spirit, but bicyclists tend to miss out on this pleasure. Apple’s iPad: 6 reasons why we’re disappointed
The iPad and Jesus have a lot of things in common- both took a long time arriving, and then were mistreated by the populace. That’s pretty much where the comparison ends, as though there has been a lot of hyperbole regarding the iPad’s claim to be king of the tablet world, I remain unconvinced that it has any real selling points. Sure, it’s a super stylish 9.7 inch screen, with…
